The Billing section shows your current plan, what's included, the next payment date, and links to the secure Stripe billing portal where you can update payment details, download past invoices, or change your subscription.

View your current plan

  1. Open Settings > Billing.
  2. The page shows:
  • Current plan — its name (e.g. Starter, Professional, Premium), features, and price.
  • Billing cycle — monthly or annual.
  • Next billing date — when the next charge is scheduled.
  • Payment method — the last four digits of the card on file.
  • Invoice history — every past invoice from the platform, with date, number, amount, and a download link.

Change plan

  1. On the Billing page, click Change Plan (or Upgrade).
  2. The upgrade page shows the available tiers as side-by-side cards with the features and price each one includes. The current tier is highlighted.
  3. Toggle the billing cycle between Monthly and Annual if you want to switch (annual plans usually come with a discount).
  4. Click Choose this plan on the tier you want.
  5. Confirm the change. Upgrades take effect immediately and you are charged the prorated difference; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period so you don't lose paid-for time.

Switch billing cycle without changing tier

If you only want to move from monthly to annual (or vice versa), click Switch to Annual (or Switch to Monthly) directly from the Billing page. The change applies on your next renewal.

Update card or billing address

  1. On the Billing page, click Manage in Stripe Portal.
  2. You are redirected to Stripe's secure customer portal. From here you can:
  • Update the payment method (new card, alternative payment method).
  • Update the billing address and tax details.
  • Download past invoices as PDF.
  • Cancel the subscription (it stays active until the end of the paid period).
  1. Changes in Stripe sync back to the platform within a few seconds.

What happens if a payment fails

If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds), Stripe automatically retries over a few days. While the issue is unresolved, an administrator banner appears at the top of every page and you receive an email. Updating the card in the Stripe portal usually resolves it on the next retry.

If the subscription enters Past Due, billable features remain available for a grace period. After the grace period, access to add-on modules (AML/KYC, AI Assistant, multi-currency reporting) is restricted until payment is updated.

Cancellation

Cancelling in the Stripe portal keeps your data in place — you simply lose access at the end of the paid period. Reactivating later (within a configurable window) restores access without data loss.

Tip: Annual plans typically save 15–20% versus monthly. If your firm has a stable team size, switching to annual at renewal is a quick win — the saving is automatic and reflected on the next invoice.

Note: Subscription changes are restricted to administrators. Users without billing permission see Billing in read-only mode — useful for visibility, but actions like changing plan or updating the card are not available.
