The questionnaire is the heart of the KYC assessment. Each question carries a risk weight, and your answers combine into an overall risk score that drives approval routing and re-assessment intervals.

  1. Continue from the KYC assessment at Step 3 — KYC Sections: fill in any custom KYC fields configured for this client type (e.g. PEP status, expected transaction volumes, source of funds). Configure these in gear icon > KYC Settings.
  2. Click Next to move to Step 4 — Questionnaire.
  3. Each section contains a set of questions. Answer them in turn:
  • Text inputs — free-form (e.g. business activity description).
  • Yes/No — boolean.
  • Dropdown / Multi-select — pick one or more options. Each option has its own risk rating which feeds the score.
  • File upload — attach supporting documents.
  1. As you answer, the risk score at the top of the page updates in real time. It is the weighted sum of the risk ratings on your chosen options.
  2. When the risk score crosses a configured threshold, the assessment's risk band changes (e.g. Low → Medium → High). The required approval chain adjusts accordingly.
  3. Click Next when the section is complete.

You can move back and forth between steps using the navigation bar at the top — answers are saved as you go.

Tip: If your firm uses an overall manual risk override (e.g. "client is High regardless of answers"), the override field is at the bottom of the questionnaire. Use it sparingly and document the reason — the override is preserved in the assessment for the auditor.
