A share transfer moves a number of shares from one shareholder to another at a stated price and date. The platform updates the share register and percentages automatically.

  1. Open the entity client's detail page.
  2. Click the Contacts tab and scroll to the Capital section.
  3. Click the capital type to expand the shareholder list.
  4. Next to the transferring shareholder, click Transfer Shares.
  5. Fill in:
  • Recipient — the shareholder receiving the shares (must already exist as a Shareholder contact; if not, add them first).
  • Number of shares to transfer.
  • Transfer date — the effective date of the transfer.
  • Price per share (if applicable).
  1. Click Save.

The transferring shareholder's count decreases by the transferred amount, the recipient's count increases, and the percentages of all shareholders are recalculated.

The transfer is recorded in the capital history so you can produce an accurate share register and audit trail at any future date.

Tip: Common transfer pitfalls to avoid: transferring more shares than the holder owns (the platform blocks this), or using a date that conflicts with a later split or redemption (review the capital history first).
