The bell icon in the top navigation surfaces important activity from across the platform — new comments, status changes, leave requests, payment events, KYC alerts. A red badge on the bell shows the number of unread items.
- Click the bell icon in the top navigation.
- The dropdown shows recent unread notifications grouped by type, followed by your latest read ones.
- Notifications are grouped into categories:
- Client — new clients, client information updates.
- Contact — contact relationship changes.
- Workflow — status changes, assignments, mentions, due dates.
- Timesheet — submissions, approvals, rejections.
- Leave — requests, approvals, rejections.
- Workflow Time & Billing — billable time logged, invoices created from workflows.
- AML Monitoring — ongoing monitoring alerts from Dilisense or other AML providers.
- Click the notification name to mark it as read and jump straight to the related record.
- To mark everything as read, click Mark all as read at the top of the dropdown.
- To delete a specific notification, hover and click the delete icon next to it.
Notifications use a real-time connection — new ones appear in the bell without refreshing the page.
Tip: When several notifications of the same type arrive at once (e.g. multiple comments on a workflow), they are grouped into a single row (e.g. "5 Workflow notifications") to keep the dropdown readable. Click the group to expand.
Note: Notifications older than 90 days are automatically cleared to keep the dropdown focused on recent activity. Important historical events are still visible in each module's activity log (e.g. on the workflow detail page).
